Busy

The past few months have been insanely busy.  Between work and Grayson I feel like I have gone nonstop.  It's been great.  We are now over 5 months since Gabe left and it has flown by and I don't see it slowing down in my future.  Staying busy is the key to being sane.  Staying busy with friends is the real key to being sane and I've made some good ones.

Sometimes I wish I was staying at home with Grayson but when I pick him up from daycare and he is so happy I know it's the best thing for him.  Sometimes he cries because he doesn't want to leave daycare!  He is such a social little man.  I think he needs to be busy too.  He's going to be one of those kids who is always doing something.  The little guy plays right up until bedtime.  Usually he is running around in his room when I put him down.  Luckily we have gotten into a routine and life is good for us right now.

I know this post is rambling but its 6:30 am and I can't sleep.  It's dark and cold outside and warm and cozy in my room and I don't want to get up.  We now have lots of darkness.  It's nice because I can sleep better but it sucks because I know winter is coming.  It's so close I look at the 7 day forecast and do a happy dance when I don't see a chance of snow.  The temperature gets down to 30 F but no snow yet!  Then again the sooner winter comes here the sooner it will leave and we get to celebrate spring with Gabe!  Maybe winter isn't a bad thing.

Here are some pictures of a walk Sunday and a mamma moose and her baby at an apartment complex.  They were so close I was scared she was going to charge someone.  I guess here babies were old enough she wasn't too worried about them.

Can you see Momma?

  1. We used to live in Birchwood when we first moved to Fairbanks. Once a calf was stuck on the inside of the Birchwood fence, while the mama was on the outside. The baby just cried and cried and cried, while mama walked along side of it. Finally, they came to one of those *game openings* in the fence and they were reunited. I love moose!
